defining pure virtual reality
Pure Virtual Reality -- is a multi-dimensional virtual environment composed soley of computer-created parts except for the participating people. The surface appearance of the person engaged might be transformed in nature. In the purest type of category #1 virtual reality, the participating human interacts soley with the computer, not with other human beings or real elements. There is additional discussion at Verefi Technologies, Inc. of related material.
"Mixed Reality" is an environment inside which both virtual and real things interact and both are important. For instance, when a picture of a participating person's head or hand shows up in three dimensions on a monitor and engages with computer-generated icons, this is mixed reality.
